A lot of people have told me over the years, that to be a successful a photographer, you have to focus on one type of photography. You can't be a live music photographer and be a portrait photographer or you can't shoot sports and be a wedding photographer. Well, I disagree...I think you can. The reason I'm successful at all these different types of photography is because they all encompass who I am as a person.
I love music photography because I am a drummer and I've been on stage and know how that feels. The energy that happens between artists and fans is always electric and I am addicted to that atmosphere. Capturing that raw emotion and the insane lighting is always a thrill and a challenge that takes all of my senses to their highest level and makes me feel completely alive.
Wedding photography appeals to the hopeless romantic in me. I love being a part of someone's fairy tale day and capturing it in my own unique style.
Ok...so what guy wouldn't want to be an NFL photographer? The feeling I get when the team is on the 20 yard line in the fourth quarter with under a minute to go and I capture the shot of the winning touchdown is completely indescribable. The rush of game day is like nothing else.
Then there's Nature photography. Nature photography recharges my battery and reminds me that there is someone much bigger than me in charge. I love life and I love to live it to the fullest and I think it shows in my work.
Thanks for stopping by.
